MultiCites Moving Inc. - It SUCKS!!!

If you ever think about moving, do NOT use MultiCites Moving Incorporated.

It is basically the worst moving company EVER......

My friend Oliver used their services, and you can see the nightmare here:

I completely echo every single word and experience. These cowboys should be stopped form spreading any further. This is a copy of an email I have just sent to MultiCites. In keeping with their company policy, they have not replied to me.

This whole move has not been a pleasant experience for us. The first delivery date, Wednesday 8th November was missed, and not until almost 9 pm that evening was I told that the delivery would not happen. It transpires that on the way to deliver our furniture it was realized that they had loaded the wrong consignment and had to return to the storage depot.

The next delivery was scheduled for two days ie Friday 10th November. Once again we took time off work and rescheduled other commitments and deliveries to fit in with your delivery. Yet again your company failed to meet the most basic reason of your business existence, ie delivering furniture.

This time I was given a feeble excuse by your driver that this was as a result of a previous customer’s unwillingness to pay. I have to wonder why? I am also concerned and alarmed that this person’s delivery was even contemplated in the first place! We were told by you that you would not even load our furniture onto the truck in Montreal until we had paid you in full and our cheque had cleared through the bank. It is abundantly clear that the delivery made prior to ours was against your company policy of not even putting the goods on the truck until the customer has completely settled their bill. Why is your company dealing in double standards?

The delivery was eventually made on Saturday 11th November starting at 8:30am. During the course of this delivery it was a wet and snowy day. I have just bought a brand new house. Your staff didn’t even have the courtesy of putting down rugs or “pads” as they later called them, until I warned them of impending legal action if they took even one step onto my brand new carpet with their wet and dirty shoes! Reluctantly they went out and got covering, but only covered up to the top of the stairs. Once again I had to warn them of a serious cleaning bill if they took even one step onto my carpet.

At the end of the delivery I was, according to your delivery agent Sadam, 7 boxes down, one guitar and case, two box springs, one mattress, one sofa one love seat, one lawn mower. I was told by Sadam that they were still in Montreal and that this was not the first time that it had happened. So basically I was in a house with nothing to sit on, sleep on, or eat from.

On Monday you advised me that indeed the missing items were in Montreal and they would be shipped on the 15th November and would take approximately five days to get here.

A partial delivery occurred on the 19th November. During this delivery phase the delivery staff tried to deliver a bed that did not belong to us but had the same coloured RED label as ours. At the end of the delivery we are still down one box and a guitar and case.

I also note with disgust an obvious dirty trick that has been played out to potentially cover up any damage that your company causes to my goods. We recently discovered that every item has been categorized as a combination of scratched, soiled, faded, or chipped. I absolutely challenge you to find any combination of the above and in particular related to our Sofa and Love Seat. If you would like to send someone around I would willingly pay for them to show me where our Sofa and Love Seat is “Soiled and Faded.” These items are less than 9 months old and are still, even one week after they were delivered, in showroom condition. I would gladly pay for the same person to find similar faded or scratches on all other items delivered so far!

I can only surmise that once again your company is down scaling customer’s goods so that you can get away with ruining perfectly good items. If this is not the reason then why else would your company classify perfectly clean and sound goods in such a manner?

Through out this whole debacle to date your company has still not initiated a single phone call to me to explain what is happening. The rudeness of your dispatcher Lavant is beyond belief, and at one point in a conversation with this lack luster individual he told me that he didn't have to listen to my complaint!

As a Business Coach and Business Mentor, I have looked at your company’s image and so far your company has exhibited every trait of poor customer management and lack of care or concern by the management.

Not once has your management called to try to dispel the cavalier and cowboy image that MultiCites has successfully portrayed to me. I will be using this company in my lectures as a prime example of how to really upset customers and create bad feeling.

I will also be delivering, as requested, this same email to the Southern Alberta Better Business Bureau, who has said that they will in turn pass this on the Montreal region Better Business Bureau.

I am also copying the same message to the Local and National television Consumer Advocate programs for which Alberta has two very strong champions.

I look forward to earliest reply and positive resolution.

One year and one week later and MultiCites Demangement (Multicities Moving) has still not paid my claim for lost goods. They are still registered on the Better Business Bureau of Quebec as a customer in good standing, which of course is a load of bollocks if you read the various write ups about this crowd of shysters.
MultiCites Demangement. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Multicites moving is beyond "sucks". Our move was in July of 2007. When their driver max delivered our goods which cost us over 15 thousand dollars, he had written down all that was missing and damaged. Up to date they have not done anything obout it. Bulient or whatever his name is kept on playing games and even suggested our items were not missing, broken or damaged. Their own driver was a witness to it and he had written everything down. On top of that we had taken 100 thousand insurance on our goods because they were high quality and of value to us. Our furniture were damaged, some were missing, our fridge (double door) was damaged, rods to connect our palliser sofas are still missing therefore they cannot be used. The list goes on and on. I have talking to them for a year. I have been leaving messages for Bulient but never responded. Today, the 11th of November 2009, I placed a call to the company which was answered by Bulient and he bluntly told me that the company will not be giving me any moneyfor my claim since the company is no more and with that he said bye and hung up.

I am currently have serious trouble myself
This is the letter I sent to the better business buero today it explain the details

I called multicites in the begining of november. I told them I have a load that needs to go from North Vancouver to Perth Ontario. I did not have the specific address so the guy I was talking to suggested we send it to their building in Ottawa and to call in to change the address once I got ahold of it. I was not notified about addition costs diffences between ottawa and Perth. I was completely mislead.
When the truck came to get my stuff it weighed in at 900 pounds. I was told it was going to be about $1145 door to door and that it was going to be 7-10 business days.
These are both reasons I chose this company. My stuff was picked up no problem on november 10th.
When I called to confirm the address the truck was in Edmonton. Everything was fine at this point. The trouble starts when I get a call back saying its going to be an exta 200 to go to Perth. What I dont get is how this truck is traveling almost 2500 kilos and its an extra 200 for a simple 88 kilos from Ottawa to Perth.
There was a small arguement on the phone. But as I am in an empty house and just want my things. I agree to pay the extra money to save any hassles. On the last day expected for the delivery (20th) I got a call saying the truck is not going to be here until Monday or Tuesady (23-24th). Now both late and overcharged I am still waiting for a delivery. Monday passes and its now tuesday. I'm missing a day at work waiting for the truck at ths point. close to the end of the day I call the office to inquire about my load. Now I find out my load destination was unspecified and that the truck is in Montreal? why? At this point I'm told that it will not be here until Thursday or Friday. How hard it is to give an exact date? Tuesday comes along and I call to office to find out if the truck is coming... This time they tell me that they said next Thrusday or Friday... as in december 3-4th?
When flipped out and asked to talk to the supervisor I was laughted at my someone named Lamonte. and put on hold for an hour and a half until I finally hung up. I call back and asked the supvisor to call me. Its friday today and I have no idea whats going on with my stuff I am really worried. this is the worse moving experiance I have ever encountered or even heard of. After reading reviews online I've found out that the company has a thrid party by the name of Art moving? I would like to speak to someone curtious and get this resolved as soon as possible.
Idealy I would like to rent a Uhaul and come pick up my stuff in Ottawa for the original price and drive it back myself, since its a couple dollars cheaper. I just want my stuff unharmed...

I am still wait to hear back

MultiCites provided me with the worse moving experience
Incredibly unprofessional and they are basically criminals in my mind.
Its been over 6 months since my move and I still have not received 1 penny of the over $3,000 of damages to both my house and belongings.
They ruined several walls and light fixtures during the move out of my previous condo and into my new house. The did a very poor packing job. Brought uncovered furniture out in the pouring rain, ran out of packing paper, ruined a plasma TV, simply did about everything wrong a moving company could do. They said they would pay for some of the damages but they keep stalling me. They should definitely go out of business. Bulent, Omer, Levant, the whole bunch, they are beyond unprofessional.

I feel so terrible knowing that the same company could do some thing so wrong to others customers.
I did my move on May 2009 from Montreal to Calvary: my agent was Levin.
moved about 10000 lbs and two cars
The move out was quick and the move in was a Calgary local third party moving agent(I believe).
Since I was no in rush to have my staffs the move was smooth.
only one chair was broken but did not clain at all...
