Ok, hopefully these pictures change her mind.
Oh, by the way these pictures were taken during a 4 hour hike from my place. I went 13 km on this hike, but the hike originates just across the street from my place! Its like living with a National Park in your front yard!

Yes! Germany IS nice!! You should come and see for yourself! Stan's doing great here, I think! He's surrounded by a lot of nature, bureaucracy, physicists, and a few Taiwanese who make sure he won't feel lost. :) Greetings, Jenny Hsieh
Yes, Mom can be QUITE unreasonable. Sigh. I bet she's thinking right now, "Yes, Germany looks nice but they don't have bathrooms that are as clean as Canadian bathrooms." She is quite silly!
Perhaps the only thing that may get her to really like Germany is for Tim Horton's to open up a coffee shop in Freiburg...
